About us
The Creek Caravan site is superbly situated in a quiet 3 acres which has beach frontage allowing immediate access down to the beach. The 30 vans nestle among maturing trees and each one has a view of the sea. All but four vans are privately owned which makes for a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Of course there are plenty of youngsters about during the school holidays, but the fact that they can enjoy themselves on the beach, visiting friends or going to the shop allows the children to have fun without intruding on the enjoyment of those around them.
Caravans
All but four of our caravans are privately owned and are well loved, cherished 'second' homes to their owners. They are not new but are set up for family holidays by the sea. These privately owned vans are only available for short periods, however the four renting caravans are available throughout the season and are fully equiped for letting. All our caravans have mains electricity, gas, water and mains sewage connections, however should you wish to use the toilet block there is always ample hot water in the showers and washbasins and plenty of room to do the washing up!
Facilities
The site facilities are simple, but adequate and clean. There are showers and toilets in the washing block as well as a washing machine, spin dryer and ironing board. Outside there is a washing line available for use.
If you have a boat you are welcome to launch and recover it from our slipway, if necessary using the electric winch (for which there is a small charge). Unfortunately we do not have any moorings available for use but should you require a mooring for your stay, let us know in advance and we may be able to make arrangements for you. Alternatively, your boat can be left on the beach or in our boat park during your stay.
There is a very useful Café / Shop 200 yards from the Site on the public car park, where you can buy basic items, order your newspaper or even dine alfresco. (Opening times vary and are subject to the weather/demand)
Caravan visitors do not have to pay the private road toll and there is plenty of parking outside the site fence (spaces inside being reserved for caravan owners).
Location
Ringstead is situated towards the Eastern end of the Dorset Heritage Coast about 7 miles from Weymouth & Dorchester.

From Dorchester (coming south) or Wareham (coming west) take the A352 to Warmwell roundabout, which is very large and noticeable having tall pine-trees growing on it. From there take the A353 towards Weymouth, passing through Poxwell, and then look for a sharp left turn signposted to Ringstead. The road dips down to Upton, then climbs up the ridge. Go past the turning for Upton Glen Park on your right and just before the top of the hill is a steep right turn which takes you over the brow of the hill onto the toll road (signposted to Ringstead Beach). Follow this road down almost to the sea, and immediately after the car park/shop turn left along a track. The Caravan Site is 200 yards along this unmade road on your right (go past a terrace of 3 cottages, The Creek and Gulley Cottage. The entrance to the Site is immediately after Coast Path Cottage (wooden bungalow).
Caravan visitors do not have to pay the private road toll and there is plenty of parking outside the site fence (spaces inside being reserved for site owners).
