Ringstead can be blessed with stunning weather which is often better than that inland. This is mainly due to it's sheltered position surrounded by hills and adjacent to the sea. However the prevailing South Westerly winds can also lash the coast with storms, hence all the local shipwrecks and it's popularity with surfers and windsurfers.
